Experience… Springfield!!

We Love it Here!

Escape to the City

We love it here! Though we moved here in 2000 we still consider ourselves tourists of Hampden County. We go to great lengths to make sure that you have in advance, right in our kitchen, every tool to maximize your brief stay at the inn.

It is our pleasure to help you pre-plan your visit. Here is our top 10 must do’s when in Springfield in the summer.

If you’re looking for Kid-friendly fun for all ages we are home to Six Flags New England in nearby Agawam with all the regular rides you normally visit at theme parks, and a huge outdoor water park that is perfect for summer splashing and fun. We are home to Forest park a great, inexpensive, family-friendly opportunity to get the kids outside to have fun. It has a pool, tennis courts, a zoo, ponds for feeding the ducks, playgrounds, hiking trails, open picnic tables, and a train for adults and kids.

For indoor fun we have beautiful museums. The more popular museums to visit are the Springfield Quadrangle and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. We are also home to lesser-known, FREE museums: Mount Holyoke College’s Art Museum and Amherst College’s Pratt Museum of Natural History. The Pratt Museum at Amherst College is the home of the world’s largest dinosaur tracks–a sure hit with kids. Both museums are open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, and both are completely free.

Whether you are looking for a family attraction in Greater Springfield, the rural charm of Franklin County, or the wonder of the Berkshires as the backdrop for experiencing diverse culture and sophisticated entertainment Western Massachusetts is where memories are made—all throughout the year.
